Every year, during the holiday season, Livermore Police Department and Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District team up to host their annual “Shop with a Cop” event. “Shop with a Cop” allows LPD officers to “adopt” an LVJUSD student in need and take him/her on a shopping spree at Walmart, to buy holiday presents for themselves or their families. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, December 11th at Walmart of Livermore. Funding for this event is made possible through contributions received from LPD officers and staff during “No Shave November” (LPD) or through private donations made by citizens.
