There will be time following the presentation for an audience Q&amp;A as well as a book signing. Books will be available for purchase at the event from <a href="https://www.townecenterbooks.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Towne Center Books</a>.</p><p> Elaine Castillo,&nbsp;named one of “30 of the Planet’s Most Exciting Young People” by the <i>Financial Times</i>, was born and raised in the Bay Area. Her most recent book is the novel <i>Moderation</i>, which <i>Kirkus Reviews</i>&nbsp;called “brilliant” in a starred review, and <i>Publishers Weekly</i>&nbsp;praised as “a triumph.” She is also the author of <i>How to Read Now,</i>&nbsp;about the politics and ethics of our reading culture.&nbsp;Her debut novel, <i>America Is Not the Heart</i>, was a finalist for numerous prizes, including the Elle Big Book Award, the Center for Fiction Prize, and the Aspen Words Literary Prize, and was named a best book of 2018 by NPR, <i>Real Simple</i>, <i>Lit Hub</i>, <i>The Boston Globe</i>, <i>San Francisco Chronicle</i>, <i>The New York Post</i>, <i>Kirkus Reviews</i>, and the New York Public Library.</p><p>This program is part of Livermore Public Library's&nbsp;<a href="https://library.livermoreca.gov/Home/Components/News/News/1517/3895" target="_self">Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AANHPI)</a>&nbsp;celebration.</p>
