Hosted by <a href="https://www.livermoreca.gov/departments/innovation-economic-development/arts/poet-laureate" target="_self">Livermore Poet Laureate <b>Peggy Schimmelman</b></a>, this event features acclaimed cowboy poets <b>Wendy Brown</b>&nbsp;and <b>Jim Cardwell</b>, followed by an <b>open mic</b>—bring your own poem or story to share!</p><p><b>About the Poets:</b></p><p><b>Wendy Brown</b>&nbsp;– A published cowboy poet from Mariposa, Wendy’s work is inspired by horseback adventures in the High Sierra. She coordinated the Cannonball Cowboy Gathering for seven years and has led youth poetry workshops and contests. Her collection includes <i>Mountain Majesty and Other Poems: Anatomy of a Cowboy Poet</i>.</p><p> <b>Jim Cardwell</b>&nbsp;– Writing and performing poetry for over four decades, Jim is a regular at the Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
