Each year, the Livermore Police Department partners with the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) for the annual Shop With A Cop program. This initiative allows LPD officers to "adopt" a young LVJUSD student in financial need and take them shopping for Christmas presents in early December. Donated funds give each student the opportunity to purchase gifts for both their family members and themselves, ensuring a brighter holiday season for all. LVJUSD staff identify and nominate students in need to participate.
