Livermore Public Library is pleased to announce that 2026 will feature a Western-themed novel that captures the spirit of the American Frontier. As part of this beloved community-wide reading program, the Library invites the public to help select the featured title. The chosen book will serve as the foundation for a series of programs, events, and discussions designed to engage readers of all ages and celebrate the enduring stories of the American West.

Voting is open now, and community members are encouraged to cast their vote for one of the following Western-themed books:

• A Lantern in Her Hand by Bess Streeter Aldrich
• My Antonia by Willa Cather
• Upright Women Wanted by Sarah Gailey
• The Bullet Swallower by Elizabeth Gonzalez James
