Tom Mathews will present “My Heart’s in the Highlands: A Week at Aigas Field Centre Scotland.” Tom and his wife, Dorrie, took a red-eye flight to Dublin, where they boarded a small prop plane for the flight to Glasgow. In Glasgow, they joined their group, organized by Road Scholars, and spent two nights exploring the city. The group traveled by bus for about five hours, passing by Loch Lomond, Glencoe, and Loch Ness on their way to the Aigas Field Centre in the Highlands west of Inverness. During their week-long stay at Aigas Field Centre, they took several side trips to sites like Culloden, the Clava Cairns (4,000-year-old burial mounds), and Cawdor Castle.
